Karuna Aurel Kanes
CSO – Scientific lead, technology development and characterisation
Karuna Aurel Kanes (he/him) is one of the central holders of expertise and a co-inventor of the technology. He developed the chemical and physical fundamentals of electrochemical nanoprinting and miniaturised the printed structures down to the two-digit nanometre range. He studied nanoscience at the University of Hamburg (B.Sc., M.Sc.) and is currently doing his doctorate at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg in the group of Prof. Dr. Dmitry Momotenko. At NanoXion he leads the scientific process development: print parameters, electrochemical deposition strategy, material validation for copper, gold and platinum, and robust parameter windows.
